Air New Zealand Debuts Impossible Burger

Last week, Air New Zealand introduced Impossible Burger Sliders on its route from San Francisco (SFO) to Auckland (AKL).

The airline worked with Impossible Burgers to create the slider and is the first airline in the world to serve the vegan burger in any capacity on flights. The Impossible Burger looks, cooks, smells and tastes like real beef without containing any animal products whatsoever.

Air New Zealand officials claim the sliders have been popular with passengers.

“The Impossible Burger has been a real favourite. Given we’re heading into a seasonal menu change in Business Premier we couldn’t resist sharing the experience with customers travelling on another of our North American routes while also giving it a bit of a twist,” said Niki Chave, customer experience manager, Air New Zealand.

The sliders will be available through June 2019.
